Terms and policies

Terms of use

These terms apply when you visit Hotbox University, create an account or purchase membership. By using the University, you agree to these terms. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a contract. Hotbox University is the education division of Hotbox Universe, based in Dallas, Texas. “University,” “we,” “us” and “our” refer to Hotbox University and Hotbox Universe.

Your membership is for one person. Keep your sign-in credentials secure and provide accurate account information. You may use course materials, templates and tools for your own vending business, but you may not share an account, publish lesson content, resell materials, scrape the service, bypass access controls, interfere with the site or use it unlawfully. We may suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect members, the service or our intellectual property. If practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.

Content and intellectual property

The site, lessons, tools, templates, videos, branding and other course materials are owned by or licensed to Hotbox University. Purchasing membership gives you a limited, personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable license to use those materials in your own operation. It does not transfer ownership or permit public distribution, resale or creation of a competing course from the materials.

Sales and billing

Tuition. Membership is a one-time purchase of $3,000 for one member. It is not a subscription. Access to the available digital course begins after payment is confirmed. “Lifetime access” means access for as long as Hotbox University continues to operate the course; it does not promise that every feature or third-party service will remain unchanged indefinitely.

90-day placement guarantee. The guarantee applies to a member who purchases Hotbox University, participates in the program as described below and does not secure a signed vending-location agreement during the first 90 calendar days after Stripe confirms the purchase. It is a tuition-refund policy, not a promise of income, revenue, profit or business success.

Participation requirements. During the 90-day period, the member must complete and record through the University: a founder onboarding call, at least 25 real prospects in Pipeline, at least ten scored locations, at least five confirmed decision makers and at least five logged outreach touches. The member is responsible for keeping those records accurate and current.

What counts as securing a location. A location is secured when the member obtains an executed placement agreement. The member must record the opportunity as Signed in Pipeline when it happens. Hotbox University may request the executed agreement or other reasonable evidence during review. A signed location secured during the 90-day period satisfies the placement outcome even if the opportunity is later cancelled, removed or marked lost.

How to request review. If no location was secured by the end of day 90 and all participation requirements were completed, the member must request guarantee review through Messages inside the University during the seven calendar days immediately following the deadline. Requests made after that review period are not eligible, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Review and refund. Hotbox University reviews the member’s account activity and may request supporting records before deciding eligibility under these terms. An approved guarantee claim is refunded in full to the original payment method. We initiate an approved refund within five business days; a bank or card issuer may take additional time to post it. Course access ends when the refund is issued. The application tracks eligibility but never issues a refund automatically.

Available and upcoming material. Your purchase includes the material described as available on the sales page when you buy. Items marked “coming soon” are not available at purchase and should not be relied on when deciding whether to enroll. When they are released as course updates, members receive them without additional tuition. Any separately priced product or service will have its own price and terms before purchase.

Results and earnings disclaimer

Business results are not guaranteed. Revenue, profit, cost, placement and timing examples are educational illustrations or identified historical experiences—not promises of what you will earn. Results vary based on location, products, capital, deal terms, local rules, market conditions and the operator’s decisions and effort. A testimonial or example does not represent a typical or guaranteed result. A refund policy does not replace the need for evidence supporting any factual claim.

Education, not advice

Hotbox University provides education and operating perspective. It does not provide legal, tax, accounting, investment or financial advice, and no professional-client relationship is created. Laws and regulations change and vary by location. Verify requirements with the relevant authority and qualified professionals before acting, particularly when selling age-restricted products.

Related businesses and third parties

The course may discuss or link to VTM, Hotbox Distro, equipment providers, payment processors, financing providers and other third parties. Hotbox University may have an ownership, commercial, referral or preferred-provider relationship with a named business; that relationship will be disclosed where the recommendation or benefit appears. Members may receive a discount on eligible Hotbox Distro products. Availability, pricing, shipping, returns and warranties are governed by the seller’s separate terms.

Course tuition does not include a machine, inventory, financing, a location or another third-party product unless the checkout page expressly says otherwise. Third-party services are responsible for their own products, availability and terms. You are responsible for evaluating whether any purchase or provider is appropriate for your operation.

Service availability and responsibility

We work to keep the University secure and available, but online services occasionally change or experience interruptions. The service and its content are provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from business decisions, third-party services or use of educational examples. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Communications

We may send transactional messages needed to operate your account, such as sign-in, purchase, security and course-service notices. Marketing email or text messages are sent only where permitted and may be stopped using the unsubscribe instructions in the message. Consent to marketing is not a condition of purchase. Hotbox University does not currently provide an automated SMS outreach service for members.

Privacy

We collect information you provide, including your name, email address, phone number when supplied, profile, sign-up and purchase status, course progress, Messages threads, Ask Craig AI conversations, Pipeline entries, tool inputs, founder-call bookings and pre-enrollment call requests. Signed-in use also creates timestamped first-party activity records showing pages, lessons and tools used. Each member record is associated with the member’s user ID where an account exists. We use this information to provide and secure the University, confirm access, save progress, respond to members, support the placement guarantee, improve the course and meet legal obligations.

Supabase supports accounts and member data; Stripe processes checkout and payment information; Cloudflare helps deliver and protect the website; and Geoapify supports location-search features. Those providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices. Hotbox University does not receive or store full payment-card numbers. We do not sell personal information.

Essential browser storage keeps authentication, security preferences, progress and privacy choices working. Optional analytics and marketing storage remains disabled unless you accept it through the cookie banner; you can change that choice at any time. We currently use first-party account activity records rather than loading an advertising tracker by default. Account records are kept while membership is active and for a reasonable period afterward for security, accounting, dispute resolution and legal obligations. Records that are no longer reasonably needed are deleted or de-identified. No internet service can promise absolute security, but we use access controls, encrypted connections and service-provider safeguards appropriate to the information handled.

Student sign-in is passwordless: Supabase sends a time-limited authentication link and Hotbox University does not store a readable member password. Stripe processes card details, and Hotbox University never stores full card numbers. Members may close their account in Settings; authorized staff can delete a specific member account and its associated profile, messages, saved documents, Ask Craig records and activity records. Certain purchase, fraud-prevention, tax and legal records may need to be retained.

Do not enter sensitive personal information about prospects, location owners or staff into course tools unless it is necessary and you are permitted to do so. To request access, correction or deletion of your account information, contact the team.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms and policies as the University changes. Material changes will be posted here with a revised effective date and, where appropriate, communicated to members. These terms are governed by Texas law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Before filing a claim, both sides agree to make a good-faith effort to resolve the issue directly. Any court proceeding must be brought in a court with jurisdiction in Dallas County, Texas, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
